Trekking "Path of the Wayfarer"

The Path of the Wayfarer is an itinerary that runs along the entire Lecco part of the lake with unique views.

This path is called the path of everyday life as the local population has already traveled it for several generations and has therefore allowed the construction and development of the towns and villages surrounding the lake.

This path is also "the natural hinge" that unites the two extremes of this world, water and mountains, in a combination that offers panoramas and landscapes of moving beauty rich in history and meaning. Il Viandante is one of those itineraries that do not need specific points of interest as the path itself is a show that deserves to be experienced and savored step by step, pausing on the glimpses that open up along the path, where the gaze can chase the profile of the mountains that descend towards the lake or climb upwards, chasing the escape of the slopes that become increasingly steep until the rock takes the place of the woods, then, just when you might think that the surprises are over , at the end of each stage, the path gives way to a real labyrinth of alleys and narrow streets between the old houses of the village and the exotic gardens of the noble villas. An irresistible invitation to continue walking and exploring until you step on the stones of the lake shore.

Days Details:

1st day: from Abbadia Lariana to Varenna (Vezio). Difference in altitude + 950mt and about 8 hours of walking.

2nd day: from Vezio to Dervio. Difference in altitude + 450mt and about 4 hours of walking.

3rd Day: from Dervio to Piantedo + 650mt and about 6 hours of walking.

Excursions Details:

Difficulty: EE <Expert Hikers>

Difference in altitude: about 2100 meters in total to be divided into 3 stages

Length: 70 km overall to be divided into 3 stages

Walking hours: about 5-6 hours a day with stops and a lunch break.

Departure times: 8.00 - 8.30

Packed lunch.

Overnight stays: in hotel or B&B

How to get there: Meeting at 6.00 am in Bergamo at the free parking lot next to the Cristal Palace hotel.

Or directly at 8.00 am at the Abbadia Lariana train station.

Participation fee:

Adults: 290 euros

Children aged 15 to 18 accompanied by an adult: 190 euros

The fee includes: planning and drafting of the itinerary, professional accompaniment with a guide, insurance, overnight stay with breakfast.

The fee does not include: return travel expenses, food expenses, expenses for any local transport, anything that does not appear in the item "the fee includes".

Recommended clothing: suitable for the season, hiking boots, backpack, waterproof cape, spare t-shirts, sweatshirt, light long pants, swimsuit, spare parts, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, food (bars or similar), 2 liters of water and a camera.
