Info sull'evento
The Sentiero Roma is a 54 km long high route that runs along the head of Val Masino, on the Italian side of the Val Bregaglia mountains, in the Western Rhaetian Alps.
The itinerary takes place all in the presence of large granite mountains, including the Badile, the Cengalo and the Cima di Castello, and ends at the foot of the Disgrazia.
The entire route, very spectacular and popular, is normally divided into three or more days, according to the variants chosen, with an overnight stay in the Refuges.
For the most part - that is, excluding the initial ascent from the valley floor and the final descent - the route remains around 2500 meters above sea level.
The path, perfectly marked, requires training, adequate equipment and experience: for the altitude at which it takes place, for the length, for the possibility of finding snow or ice and for the numerous challenging and sometimes exposed passages, all of which are equipped.
